Some news outlets are doing a great job at annoyingly interrupting one's music enjoyment, or breaking the silence at late hours. I am speaking of course of auto-play videos and audio tracks. And yes, I'm looking at you, Bloomberg.

Luckily, there is a neat Firefox extension to stop auto-play for good. It's called Disable HTML5 Autoplay and works nicely.

The only downside is that sites can't be white-listed, thus also allowed sources such as YouTube need a click to start a video.

But that's a small price to pay.
