There is nothing intrinsically wrong with online advertising. But there is something terribly wrong with the flavor of online advertising that we have evolved.

With the rise of digital "landfill" ads, Bob was among the first credible voices from the industry denouncing the malpractices that are now rampant and clear enough for everyone to see.
This blog post is a great departure from his usual ascerbic, cynical self and is a great roadmap for going forward. I highly recommend going through the Ad Contrarian's archives.
